Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Student Support Services, we are seeking a highly qualified Speech/Language Pathologist to provide remedial programs and instructional activities to students with speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized remedial programs to address students' speech and language needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless integration of speech and language services into the educational program.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language strengths and weaknesses.
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • California credential authorizing service as a Remedial Speech Specialist.
  • One year of full-time experience as a remedial speech specialist or successful completion of a practicum in speech and language.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Knowledge of programs designed to improve educational opportunities for minority pupils.
