Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Lead and supervise the daily operations of the shift, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all safety rules and regulations are followed, and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Training and Development: Oversee the training of new associates, and initiate cross-training for all associates to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Performance Management: Evaluate associate performance, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Quality Control: Participate in quality control checks, and contribute to meeting Bertch manufacturing schedule.
- Education and Experience: Must be fully trained and able to perform the required job tasks in the assigned department. A minimum of 18 months of related experience is preferred.
- Supervisory Experience: Directly supervise approximately 15-20 employees in the respective department.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to read measurement tools, and communicate effectively with associates and management.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions, and make sound decisions.
Employees must be able to cope with Iowa climates, endure heat and cold conditions in the building, and work in a fast-paced environment with loud noise levels. Personal Protective Equipment as required by OSHA will be provided by the Company.
