Industrial Firefighter EMT

Rural Metro Fire is seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as Industrial Firefighters EMTs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, providing medical aid, and participating in fire suppression activities.

• Respond to fires and emergency situations in a timely and safe manner
• Administer first aid and medical care to injured parties
• Participate in fire suppression activities, including hose and nozzle work, and use of hand tools
• Operate Company vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain fire and rescue apparatus, tools, and equipment in good operating condition
• Perform routine non-firefighting work tasks, such as record-keeping and paperwork
• Work effectively as a team member in emergency and non-emergency situations

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Illinois OSFM Basic Operations Firefighter (BOF) or equivalent certification
• Illinois EMT-B or higher EMS certification
• CPR/AED credentials
• Physical Agility Fitness Test (Initial Hire and Annually)
• NIMS ICS-100, 200, 700, and 800 certification
• Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card
• Ability to work any shift assigned, including nights, holidays, and weekends
