Rural Metro Fire is seeking highly skilled and dedicated Industrial Firefighter EMTs to join our team. As a key member of our fire protection services, you will be responsible for responding to emergencies, controlling and extinguishing fires, and providing medical aid to those in need.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to fires and emergencies in a timely and safe manner, using hose and nozzle work, hand tools, and other equipment as needed.
- Administer first aid and provide medical care to injured parties, using your EMT skills and training.
- Operate fire and rescue apparatus, tools, and equipment, and maintain them in good working condition.
- Participate in training drills and exercises to stay up-to-date on modern fire suppression tactics and methods.
- Work effectively as a team member, communicating clearly and following policies and procedures.
- Meet the physical requirements of the job, including the ability to lift, carry, and wear heavy equipment.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Illinois OSFM Basic Operations Firefighter (BOF) or equivalent certification.
- Illinois EMT-B or higher EMS certification.
- CPR/AED credentials.
- Physical Agility Fitness Test (Initial Hire and Annually).
- NIMS ICS-100, 200, 700, and 800 certification.
- Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
