Role OverviewThe Senior Accountant will oversee essential accounting functions, including the preparation of financial statements, reconciliation schedules, and the review of closing items while supporting external audits. This role ensures adherence to approved accounting practices, guaranteeing that financial and operational reports accurately reflect the business's condition and provide reliable information for effective operations. The position also involves enhancements to ERP systems and the integration of new systems.
Your TeamYou will report directly to the Corporate Director and US Controller, who possess extensive financial expertise. Key Responsibilities- Prepare global financial statement flux analysis and account reconciliations, covering areas such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed and intangible assets, and various liabilities.
- Assist regional teams with lease accounting.
- Review regional balance sheet flux and collaborate with teams to enhance accounting accuracy.
- Coordinate with different regions and entities to gather financial data and supporting documentation.
- Implement global accounting policies and procedures.
- Monitor the completion of regional quarterly close controls.
- Drive system and process improvements to optimize global closing procedures.
- Prepare financial statement schedules and packages for consolidation and reporting.
- Support regional teams in enhancing the accuracy and compliance of accounting transactions.
- Plan and coordinate organizational activities, establishing priorities to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with SAP systems.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP.
- Understanding of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards (training provided).
- Knowledge of ISO14001 environmental standards (training provided).
- Experience in accounting, consolidation, and reporting within a manufacturing context.
