At Northern Arizona Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Care Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department.

About the Role

The Perioperative Care Specialist will be responsible for preparing supplies and equipment for interventions, using appropriate techniques. This includes providing technical services as assigned and directed by the Director and/or Clinical Manager/Coordinator.

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

  1. Prioritize and address technical needs to meet patient conditions.
  2. Assist the healthcare team during surgical procedures by integrating an understanding of anatomy and physiology with the surgical procedure.

  4. Provide safe patient care for the intra-operative phase, including specimen handling and medication labeling and handling.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED - Required
  • Completion of OR Technician education - Preferred
  • BLS - Required upon hire
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), or Tech in Surgery Certified (TS-C), or NCCT - Required

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
