ROLE SUMMARY:

The Instrumentation, Control, and Electrical Technician will oversee repair and preventive maintenance activities related to instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems. This role involves ensuring the reliability of electrical and instrumentation components and systems within the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute work orders with a focus on safety and efficiency, maintaining the plant's electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work request input and tracking.
  • Diagnose and rectify malfunctions in control systems, including transmitters, PLCs, and various monitoring devices.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of electrical/instrumentation issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Install new electrical equipment as necessary, adhering to all relevant codes and best practices.
  • Provide technical insights for the enhancement of plant systems and processes.
  • Participate actively in safety programs and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or power industry setting.
  • Proficient in DCS, turbine controls, and PLC systems.
  • Familiarity with high voltage switchgear and transformers is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of electrical preventive maintenance procedures.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Electronics or related fields.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and climbing as required in a safety-sensitive industrial environment.
