Job Title: Nutritionist - RD

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join our team in Olympia, WA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to work in our WIC department, providing nutrition counseling and education to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nutrition counseling and education to clients, including individual and group sessions
  • Assess clients' nutritional needs and develop personalized plans to meet those needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in nutrition and dietetics
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nutrition or a related field
  • Completed an accredited dietetic internship program or Coordinated Undergraduate Program in Dietetics
  • 7 hours of HIV/AIDS course
  • WA State Registration and Certification for Dietitian or RD/CD eligible
  • Medical Assistant-Registered Certification required for Hemoglobin testing for WIC RD
  • Pre-hire and annual employee health screening required
  • Annual influenza vaccine required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a community nutrition setting
  • Knowledge of weight management, diabetes education, and pediatric nutrition
  • Current Adult/Pediatric CPR certification
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
