As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for coordinating risk management activities, serving as a resource person to hospital and medical staff, and assisting in the assessment and implementation of hospital practices to improve safety and promote the professional care of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate risk management activities and serve as a resource person to hospital and medical staff
- Assist in the assessment and implementation of hospital practices to improve safety and promote the professional care of patients
- Assist in quality improvement activities throughout the hospital as they relate to the risk management function
- Assist with educational programs for hospital and medical staff on recognition and prevention of malpractice, general liability, and safety issues
- Function in a manner consistent with the hospital's mission and vision as a faith-based organization
- Function as a liaison between the hospital and outside entities, including local, county, state, federal, and licensing agencies
- Coordinate patient complaint and grievance process
- Master's degree in a relevant healthcare or legal field
- 3-5 years of experience in risk management
- 1-5 years of management experience
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred
- Minimum one year of clinical experience highly preferred
