Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Broadway Tower, a 20-story office building managed by Tyko Management. The ideal candidate will have experience in building maintenance, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the property is safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct repairs and replacements for various building components such as lighting, fixtures, flooring, and other structures.
  • Assist with tenant move-ins and move-outs, including preparing and inspecting units.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Assist in emergency situations, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, or other urgent maintenance issues.
  • Keep common areas, mechanical rooms, and maintenance workspaces clean and organized.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants and management regarding maintenance issues and solutions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and climbing ladders.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • HVAC certification and/or other relevant certifications are preferred.
