Job Title: Western Regional Project Manager

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead our Western Regional Projects team. As a key member of our Project & Engineering Group, you will provide project leadership to 5-10 projects simultaneously, spanning various phases and locations in the Western Region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with Project Management Organization (PMO), Businesses, and Plant Leadership to develop and deliver small to medium projects (up to $15M) to reduce cost, increase capacity, improve safety, and sustain operations.
  • Promote a team culture focused on meeting commitments while maintaining safety excellence.
  • Empower project team members to understand and accept their accountabilities by ensuring project delivery expectations are clearly defined to meet project objectives.
  • Provide leadership to remove project obstacles by working with, and through, others.
  • Facilitate interface between design-build partners and internal GP partners (mill/business).
  • Plan, execute, and close out projects throughout the project lifecycle, including ownership of scope, cost, schedule, and risk.
  • Provide oversight to GP procured equipment and services.
  • Primary oversight of project change management.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement, ensure coordination with facilities for integrating project startup (Day 1 Readiness).
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset using lean construction principles.
  • Manage and develop key external partner relationships.
Requirements:
  • 3 or more years of experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with project and construction management systems and concepts.
  • Willing and able to travel regionally at least 50% of the time (Project Dependent Fluctuates).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Experience with LEAN project delivery methodologies.
  • Industry experience within pulp, paper, and building products industry.
  • 5 or more years of experience in project and/or construction management of industrial/manufacturing construction projects.
  • 3 or more years of experience in design-build, Integrated Project Delivery, or similar, project execution.
Compensation:

We anticipate paying $100k - $130k per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
