Job Summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist to join their team in a school district in Illinois. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in providing specialized instruction to visually impaired students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Individualized Instruction: Provide tailored instruction to visually impaired students, ensuring accessibility and understanding of the curriculum.
  • IEP Development: Create, implement, and regularly update individualized education plans (IEPs) to address students' specific educational goals and needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment for visually impaired students.
  • Assistive Technology: Utilize and train students in the use of braille, screen readers, magnification devices, and other assistive technologies to enhance their learning experience.
