Wound Care Nurse

As a Clinical Nurse in our Wound Care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes. Your expertise in wound management will be invaluable in helping patients achieve optimal healing and recovery.
Responsibilities- Administer patient care under the direction of a physician, identifying and pursuing expected patient outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
- Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs, consulting with appropriate resources in a timely fashion regarding patients with complex care issues.
- Collaborate with peers in a clinical operations environment, fostering intra/interdepartmental communication.
- Synthesize data from complex situations to determine priorities for care, including appropriate physical, psychosocial, education, and safety needs.
- Communicate with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care using cultural competency and active listening.
- Develop relationships with patients and their families that promote their ability to advocate for patient and family needs.
- Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or one of compact states by the day of clinical care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- One (1) year of experience working in a registered nurse role in an acute care/inpatient hospital setting.
- Wound experience helpful but training can be provided.
- Electronic documentation Epic experience helpful but not necessary.
