Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Analyze and interpret tax data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on tax-related matters, including tax planning and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement tax strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and provide guidance to clients on how to comply.
Requirements
  • 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Experience with written and oral communication techniques to deliver presentations and write comprehensive reports on studies and analyses involving complex or technical information.
  • Experience interpreting and applying organizational policies and procedures as it relates to TIGTA/GAO audits.
  • Experience coordinating TIGTA/GAO audits and preparing responses to findings.
  • Meet Time in Grade (TIG) requirements.
  • Meet Time after Competitive Appointment requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a related field, such as accounting or finance.
  • Professional certification, such as CPA or CMA.
  • Experience working in a government agency or with government clients.
