Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

TowerPinkster is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer at TowerPinkster, you will be responsible for designing and leading the development of mechanical systems for projects, managing assigned projects, and coordinating project teams according to schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze design options to ensure efficient and effective solutions
  • Lead the design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems, including system layouts, diagrams, schematics, equipment selection, scheduling, controls, and specifications
  • Prepare facility condition assessments and write technical reports to communicate findings and recommendations
  • Study and apply applicable codes to ensure compliance and safety
  • Develop solutions to challenging design issues through collaboration with integrated architecture and engineering project design teams
  • Employ sustainable design principles and document sustainable design performance to minimize environmental impact
  • Participate in client meetings to provide expert guidance and support
  • Coordinate work with all disciplines and consultants to ensure seamless project execution
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and contractor proposed change orders, and conduct site observations to ensure quality and compliance
  • Manage projects, including establishing and adhering to budgets and schedules, to ensure timely and within-budget completion
  • Collaborate with the team to share experiences, knowledge, skills, and lessons learned for continuous improvement
  • Assist project team and project managers as requested to ensure project success
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program
  • P.E./Professional Licensure required
  • Ten plus years of professional experience with an AEC or MEP consulting firm
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing design, codes, and standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • LEED AP BD+C preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in REVIT software, building load programs, and engineering software systems preferred
  • ASHRAE participation preferred
