We are seeking a highly skilled Wafer Manufacturing Process Technician to join our team at Western Digital Technologies. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the consistent production of high-quality wafers.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain the performance of tooling used in the manufacturing process.
- Identify and resolve processing issues affecting output or product quality.
- Optimize cycle time within your area and resolve any Work-In-Progress (WIP) that is delayed or on hold.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve tooling or processing issues and implement changes as needed.
- Train and certify lower-level operators.
- Knowledge of semiconductor wafer manufacturing processes, including thin film deposition, ion mill, reactive ion etch, electroplating, photolithography, metrology, sputter etch, and sputter deposition.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control systems, applications, and rules.
- Experience with MESA or similar Shop floor Control Systems.
- Ability to extract, summarize, interpret, and present process data.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing Principles, and DMAIC processes.
- Proficiency in SQL or similar query languages, VBA, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Project Management applications.
- Leadership qualities and experience.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Bachelor's of Science in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Data Analysis or Statistics, Chemistry, or Physics.
