This position demands a solid grasp of audio technology and equipment, alongside the capability to resolve technical challenges and enhance audio quality across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee comprehensive podcast production, encompassing script development, recording, sound design, editing, and distribution.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain audio recording apparatus, including microphones, mixers, preamps, digital audio workstations (DAWs), and audio interfaces.
  • Record and edit audio for diverse projects, such as music production, podcasts, voiceovers, and sound effects.
  • Monitor audio levels, adjust sound settings, and troubleshoot technical issues during live events to ensure superior audio quality.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in audio software and tools, including digital audio workstations (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live), audio plugins, and audio processing devices.
  • Possess a strong understanding of audio principles, acoustics, signal flow, and sound reinforcement techniques.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for audio equipment, software, and systems.
Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in audio production, recording, mixing, and live sound management.
  • Familiarity with audio equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting, including microphones, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, and signal processors.
  • Ability to mix and master audio tracks to achieve balanced sound levels, clarity, and sonic integrity.
  • Apply audio effects, equalization, compression, and other processing techniques to enhance audio quality and meet artistic standards.
  • Ensure consistency in audio quality across multiple tracks and deliverables.
  • Diagnose and resolve audio-related issues, such as signal interference, feedback, noise, and latency.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of audio equipment to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or Arts degree preferred (not mandatory)
