Oregon State Board Member

The State of Oregon is seeking dedicated individuals to serve on various Boards and Commissions, representing a broad range of areas and issues for the state. As a Board or Commission member, you will have the opportunity to participate in statewide decision-making and contribute to developing important governmental policies. Major issues include consumer protection, economic development, education, conservation, and health care, all critical to the state's ongoing success.
Application ProcessIf you are a current State of Oregon employee or a current Board Member with an OR number, you must apply through your employee Workday account. Only completed applications will be considered for appointment. The online application will guide you through the following steps: contact information, short personal biography, supplemental questions, demographic questions, resume upload, background check questions, voluntary disclosures, and additional tasks. Please note that all applicants are subject to a criminal history and revenue check, and additional vetting may apply for some board positions.
Submitting the ApplicationOnce you submit your application, you will not be able to edit the information provided. If changes need to be made, you may withdraw your application and submit a new one. You may submit an application at any time, regardless of whether there is a current opening, as resignations may occur throughout the year. The timeline for appointment to a Board or Commission varies greatly, and you will be notified by a member of the Governor's Office if your application is selected to move forward for further consideration.

Specific backgrounds or qualifications are legally required for some Boards and Commissions, and you may wish to provide this information to ensure consideration for relevant positions.
