Key Responsibilities:
As an intern, you will leverage your academic knowledge to undertake various accounting tasks, including:
- Timely and professional responses to inquiries from clients and firm associates.
- Collaborating with clients to gather essential information for document preparation.
- Utilizing analytical skills to identify valuable insights and trends to support recommendations.
- Identifying opportunities for process enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
Tax-Specific Duties:
- Preparation of individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns and projections, adhering to professional standards.
- Effective use of current tax and accounting software applications.
- Researching tax-related issues and associated financial reports.
- Conducting limited tax return interviews as necessary.
Audit-Specific Duties:
- Executing audit, review, and compliance testing procedures in line with professional standards.
- Communicating promptly with engagement leaders regarding outstanding items or issues.
- Preparing or reviewing financial statements, management reports, and other deliverables.
- Gaining proficiency in GAAP, particularly concerning assigned product lines.

Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, with completion of a taxation course required.
- Demonstrated strong academic performance in accounting, with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Working towards eligibility for the CPA exam upon graduation (150 credits).
- Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.
- Ability to think critically and make informed decisions based on education and experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and staff interactions.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks, follow through on requests, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
