Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Americold Logistics. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing advanced refrigeration maintenance and repair throughout our warehouse facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and set up ideal operational settings and parameters for all refrigeration equipment, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Pump out/evacuate refrigerant as necessary for component-level replacement and/or repair.
  • Provide in-depth troubleshooting of refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and controls systems to root cause and recommend corrective action.
  • Perform calibrations and replace components within the refrigeration system, adhering to safe LOTO procedures and PSM program guidelines.
  • Conduct routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various types of warehouse equipment, adhering to OSHA standards.
  • Participate in the implementation and sustainment of Americold's Operating System (AOS) for Maintenance/Refrigeration/Energy Excellence.
  • Share knowledge and assist in the training and development of less experienced technicians.
  • Inspect and review in-progress and completed work of internal and external technicians for compliance and quality control.
  • Conduct tests of safety equipment to ensure OSHA and operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate preventive and predictive maintenance records within the CMMS System.
  • Keep work areas and tools organized and perform housekeeping duties as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 5 years of industrial refrigeration maintenance experience, including ammonia refrigeration.
  • Completion of RETA Operator 1 & 2 courses preferred, or successful completion of industry-recognized Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration training.
  • RETA CIRO certification preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair with differing control systems, such as ALTA/Allen Bradley.
  • HAZMAT training and certification required.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required, including email, internet searches, and data entry.
  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
