Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technician/Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Empire Cat. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar and allied equipment, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Prepare service reports and communicate with clients and management regarding equipment conditions, problems, and recommendations.
  • Plan and control the cost of repair jobs to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain company equipment and facilities in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Work safely at all times, adhering to all applicable safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a maintenance or repair role, preferably in the mining industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain CDL if required by state or federal law.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and management.
Working Conditions

The Technician/Maintenance Specialist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
