We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at ResCare Community Living. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disabilities.
Responsibilities:- Attend and actively participate in weekly team meetings to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide rehabilitation and coordinate medical needs for clients, including medication monitoring and administration.
- Order, review, monitor, and discontinue medications as ordered by the physician, ensuring accurate and timely care.
- Assist in maintaining and updating nursing, pharmacy, infection control, and health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct assessments and approve plans of care and service delivery methods, ensuring individualized care.
- Perform competency and skills evaluations on employees who provide direct care, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Inform the physician and staff of changes in the client's medical or mental condition and needs, ensuring timely interventions.
- Write progress notes, summaries, and discharges, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
- Implement treatment/rehabilitative activities and strategies, promoting optimal outcomes.
- Report significant/major incidents or accidents and notify proper authorities of circumstances or situations that present possible health hazards.
- Follow consumer health plans and provide and promote consumer choice and facilitate independence.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Holds a bachelor's degree in nursing or related health and human services field from an accredited college or university OR an RN from an accredited two-year program.
- Valid driver's license and insurance required.
