Job Summary


The Receiving Technician at MAT Holdings is responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt and storage of raw materials and delivered items. This role involves working closely with logistics and operations teams to maximize profits and improve storage and retrieval processes.


Key Responsibilities



  • Unload deliveries and verify quantities received using forklifts or overhead cranes
  • Separate products to allocated only one part number per pallet when necessary
  • Ensure accurate receipt of deliveries into the system
  • Assess and optimize the organization of the steel bay for efficient storage and retrieval
  • Verify the quality and condition of received materials
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures
  • Maintain open communication with production, shipping, and receiving teams

Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills, good coaching and feedback skills, and excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic mathematical concepts
  • Must have or be able to receive license to operate forklift and scissorlift
  • Must be willing to submit to background check, employment verification, and drug screen
