Job Overview:
HexaQuEST Health, Inc. is in search of a skilled Hospital Pharmacy Technician. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in advanced pharmacy technologies and compounding practices.

Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our pharmacy team, you will:
  • Exhibit proficiency and compliance with all necessary standards of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Chapters 795, 797, and 800, adhering to ISMP guidelines.
  • Utilize advanced pharmacy systems and equipment effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to hazardous waste management protocols.
  • Facilitate the training of new pharmacy staff regarding IV clean room and anteroom protocols.
  • Manage inventory for the IV room, including both chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy medications, while ensuring proper maintenance and monitoring of stock.
  • Process orders for IV medications, ensuring accurate receipt and restocking upon delivery.
  • Oversee the accuracy of medication preparation and administration through electronic records.
  • Act as Pharmacy Purchaser in the absence of the designated individual.
  • Engage in the annual inventory process.
  • Input patient and ancillary department charges into the system as required.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary committees focused on medication safety and quality improvement.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
  • Active Pharmacy Technician Licensure.
  • Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or through NHA.
