Position Overview:

The Speech Pathologist is responsible for delivering comprehensive Speech Pathology services to patients as per referrals. This includes conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and managing follow-up and discharge processes. The role also encompasses supporting clinical operations within the department, contributing to program development, and engaging in Performance Improvement initiatives. Additionally, the Speech Pathologist will oversee the activities of Rehabilitation Technicians, students, and volunteers.

CHRISTUS Health is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services. The facility is equipped with 150 beds and is strategically located to serve a rapidly expanding community. The hospital offers a wide range of specialized services, including orthopedic and surgical care, intensive care, women's health, newborn care, comprehensive cardiovascular services, and rehabilitation programs. The campus features an Outpatient Imaging Center and several medical plazas.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution is mandatory.
  • At least 1.5 years of full-time clinical experience in the field of Speech Pathology is required.
  • Must hold a valid license as a Speech Pathologist from the relevant state regulatory board.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is essential.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
