We are seeking a skilled Cook/Dietary Aide to join our team at Avamere Riverpark of Eugene. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to our residents, ensuring that they receive high-quality nutrition and care.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook meals from scratch, following established recipes and portion control procedures.
- Inspect diet trays and work with the facility's dietitian to process diet changes received from Nursing Services.
- Coordinate food service with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure that food and supplies are readily available for the next meal.
- Review menus prior to preparation of food and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
- Must be able to cook from scratch and have experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility.
- Must have a Food Handler's Card and be knowledgeable of food preparation procedures.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Must create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
