About the Role

CarDon & Associates is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Restorative Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will provide nursing and related services to residents consistent with their comprehensive assessment and plan of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality care in a respectful and empathetic manner, prioritizing resident dignity and individuality.
  • Provide direct care to improve or maintain a resident's abilities according to their plan of care.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and treat each request as an emergency until answered.
Daily Tasks
  1. Bathing: Assist residents with bathing, adjusting water temperature, washing/rinsing, and drying thoroughly while maintaining privacy.
  2. Dressing: Locate, select, and obtain clothing for residents, assisting with snaps, zippers, and buttons during dressing and undressing.
  3. Grooming: Shampoo and comb hair, shave male residents daily, clean fingernails and toenails, and assist with oral hygiene.
  4. Elimination/Toileting: Promptly assist residents to the bathroom, open/remove clothing, clean residents afterward, adjust clothing, and measure/output when required.
  5. Mobility: Provide weight-bearing assistance, physical support for ambulating, and perform range-of-motion exercises.
  6. Transfer: Position residents properly for transfer, explain procedure, use correct body mechanics, and apply safety devices/equipment.
  7. Eating: Prepare residents for meals, wash face/hands, position at table, apply bibs, and feed those requiring total assistance.
Clinical Duties
  • Offer drinks of water during care and meals to promote good hydration.
  • Record intake/output when required.
  • Accurately take and record residents' weights when scheduled.
Preventive and Restorative Care
  • Change bedfast residents' positions every 2 hours to maintain body alignment and relieve pressure on skin areas.
  • Check chair-bound residents hourly for alignment, release, or exercise.
  • Report any redness, rash, irritation, bruising, or abrasions of a resident's skin to the Charge Nurse.
Requirements

We are offering a competitive salary of $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
