Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team in Echocardiography. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing high-quality images for interpretation.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Perform diagnostic procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure.
  • Provide high-quality images for interpretation.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
  • Comply with regulatory agencies.
Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree or completion of a Sonography certification program.
  • No experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting and moving patients.
Required Professional Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Breast (BR) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
