Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at SSM Health. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sonography and be registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the success of our department.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Perform diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure

  • Meet the registration requirement for this position, which is a registered sonographer holding two or more registries appropriate for the department(s) in which the sonographer works
Education and Experience

We require an Associate's degree or completion of a Sonography certification program. No experience is required, but a strong background in sonography is preferred.

Physical Requirements

This role requires constant standing and walking. You will also need to use your vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more). Additionally, you will need to use your hearing and speech to share information through oral communication and distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Breast (BR) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echocardiography (AE) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Work Shift and Job Type

This is a full-time position with a scheduled weekly hours of 32. The work shift is Day Shift (United States of America). The job type is Employee.
