We brought an authentic, award-winning Japanese curry and opened our first shop in San Francisco in 2021 and have opened a second shop in Berkeley. Our Berkeley location is conveniently situated directly across from the UC Berkeley Sather Gate.

Front Staff Job Summary

We are seeking Front Staff for our Berkeley location to create positive dining experiences for our guests, demonstrating and improving our Japanese-style service quality. As a Front Staff member, you will be responsible for taking orders using a POS system, serving guests, keeping the restaurant clean and tidy, restocking items, and ensuring that our guests have an excellent dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-level customer service and maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Utilize POS procedures and rules for service to ensure efficient order taking and timely delivery.
  • Maintain safety and food quality standards to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
  • Keep customers happy and handle complaints in a professional manner.
  • Ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy to maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Assist in managing social media presence to engage with customers and promote the restaurant.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to set up, open, and close the restaurant, ensuring a smooth operation.
  • Able to stand for extended durations of time and work quickly to meet the demands of the restaurant.
  • Ability to connect with and anticipate the needs of customers to provide exceptional service.
  • Must be able to SMILE and be cheerful, maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
