Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician IV to support the U.S. Navy at the Lake Glendora Test Facility in Sullivan, IN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, modify, install, maintain, operate, or test complex electronic systems.
  • Plan approaches to complex problems, exercising sound engineering judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Collaborate with project engineers, middle management, and contractors to exchange information, coordinate projects, and resolve complex engineering and administrative issues.
  • Maintain explosive certification, explosive driver's license, and Explosive Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to perform job duties.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and technical expertise to ensure continued operation of test equipment located at the Lake Glendora Test Facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of work experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim secret needed to start; SAIC to sponsor the clearance process.
  • Must agree to participate in a random drug screen program.
  • Must meet requirements for Explosives Certification Program.
  • Must be willing to obtain a UAS pilot license.
  • Must be self-motivated and effectively complete tasking in a timely manner with limited supervision.
  • Able to effectively communicate with customers and provide accurate testing cost and schedule estimates based on customer requirements and test equipment capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance is preferred.
