Position Title: Culinary Specialist

Reports to: Dining Service Director

Role Summary: The Culinary Specialist is tasked with the responsibilities of sourcing ingredients, preparing meals, delivering food, and ensuring cleanliness in accordance with health department standards, all while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for residents.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to both residents and guests
  • Perform duties with professionalism and courtesy
  • Prioritize the safety and satisfaction of residents
  • Greet and assist visitors warmly
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
  • Maintain a high standard of customer experience
  • Embody the core values of Absaroka Senior Living

Food Preparation Duties:

  • Prepare meals that are nutritious, visually appealing, and well-presented
  • Provide suitable snacks for residents with specific dietary needs
  • Ensure the cleanliness of utensils, dishes, equipment, and workspaces
  • Adhere to proper food storage protocols

Qualifications and Educational Background:

  • Formal culinary training or equivalent experience
  • Reliable attendance history
  • Possess a valid Food Handlers Permit
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Empathy for working with senior citizens

Additional Skills and Requirements:

  • This is an hourly position
  • Willingness to work weekends or after-hours as needed
