Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packer 2nd Shift to join our team at American Air Filter Company, Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up equipment, transporting media, and packaging products according to product specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Set up equipment, including loaders, box clamps, and staple guns, according to media size specifications.
  2. Transport media to the selector/packer via conveyor belt.
  3. Inspect products according to Quality Assurance Inspection Manual and record findings on the FP-1020 Daily Quality Assurance Report.
  4. Process nonconforming material according to appropriate Standard or Continuous Process Nonconformance procedure.
  5. Load conforming media into the loader chamber according to loading pattern and counts in the product specification.
  6. Slip cartons over the spout and clamp into place.
  7. Engage the load button to compress and push pads into the carton.
  8. Repackage conforming media if audit findings are zero.
  9. Package and label products according to product specification.
  10. Record packaged media on the FP-1097 (Daily Production Count) form.
  11. Place packaged media cartons in the staging area for transport to the warehouse.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write and keep records of production information and correspondence.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry.
  • Ability to schedule production needs with other responsibilities.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Mechanical ability to make adjustments and troubleshoot mechanical problems or areas of concern.
  • Ability to learn new processes and procedures and be promoted to the next level.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
