LPN - Thibodaux Regional Women's Clinic

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Health Catalyst's Thibodaux Regional Women's Clinic. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians and medical personnel in the practice.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care in support of physicians and medical personnel, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Assist with appointment scheduling, follow-up visits, and procedure appointments.
- Obtain necessary authorizations from payers for outpatient or inpatient services.
- Interview patients, collect clinical data elements, and enter data accurately into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Perform nursing assessments, including medication lists, allergies, vital signs, patient complaints, and history & physical.
- Communicate concerns and problems regarding patients to providers.
- Assist providers with clinical services, including reviewing and completing provider orders, giving injections, and scheduling tests.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation, including patient medication lists, allergies, chart notes, and detail documentation regarding phone calls.
- Communicate with other staff to assist with patient flow and document patient wait times.
- Respond to phone calls, including pharmacy refills, patients, provider offices, home health agencies, etc.
- Perform blood work and assist with duties associated with office visits.
- Provide patient and family education related to practice specialty.
- Explain diagnostic procedures to patients.
- Assist with filling out forms, such as home health requests, attending provider statements, employee medical leave forms, work/school doctors excuses, handicap license, etc.
- May perform as a scribe for providers.
- Assist with ordering medical supplies.
- Assist with mandated quality clinic checks.
- Review patient satisfaction results and take personal accountability for patient satisfaction scores.
- Graduate of a LPN program required.
- Valid license in State of Louisiana as an LPN required.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Adjustments to schedule may be made to meet patients' needs.
Job duties will include tasks which have the potential for daily exposure to patient blood/body fluids. Exposure to sharp objects/latex.
Intermittent sitting and standing. Constant walking. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
Must be able to see (near and far), hear, talk, have use of right and left hands, have use of both feet for repetitive movement, have dexterity in fingers.
Maintain compliance with training directives required by the organization pertaining to Information Security, Acceptable Use Policy, and HIPAA Privacy and Security.
