Regional Grain Improvement Manager
STATUS:
Non-Exempt
OBJECTIVE
Under the supervision of the Regional Grain Improvement Manager, this role is tasked with the safe and efficient receipt and dispatch of grain.
The individual will engage in activities that enhance operational productivity at the facility and contribute to the overall profitability of the organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in all facets of unloading, loading, and transferring grain products, which may encompass truck and rail operations.
Operate conveyance machinery utilized in the shipping, receiving, and transferring of grain and related products, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Foster positive customer interactions as the initial point of contact with producers.Maintain a professional image through actions and personal presentation.
Comprehend grain quality standards and conditioning practices.
Implement best practices for inventory management.
Ensure the safe and effective use of materials and machinery.
Keep equipment, facilities, and other company assets in a safe, organized, and professional manner.
Conduct accurate grain grading and blending operations.
Assist in maintaining necessary records and reports to comply with regulatory requirements.
Support the Location Manager in managing operational expenses.
Collaborate with other locations and departments as required.
Inspect handling equipment and grain inventory at various heights using ladders.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
Ability to answer phone inquiries and welcome walk-in customers.
Adhere to GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, as well as Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT regulations as applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience or a comparable combination of education and experience that demonstrates industry knowledge, computer skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

Other Requirements
Willingness to work hours outside of the standard schedule at various times throughout the year to meet operational demands.
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.Regularly works in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and wet environments.
Occasionally works at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
Frequently lifts weights ranging from 51-70 lbs.
Must be willing to participate in required training, which may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures, along with additional training pertinent to the role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to noise from grain handling equipment, truck traffic, and elevator operations.
Exposure to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.).
Exposure to grain dust.
May be required to work at varying heights, including climbing on grain bins and legs.
