Norton Healthcare is a leading healthcare provider in the community, and we are seeking a highly skilled Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing safe and efficient medication management and patient care to patients, physicians, employees, and the public.
Responsibilities:- Supports and assists the Pharmacist in the medication use process by providing safe and efficient medication management and patient care to patients, physicians, employees, and the public.
- Requires following appropriate guidelines under the supervision of the pharmacist for medication preparation and distribution.
- Functions in an environment which requires teamwork and flexibility to provide medications to patients.
- Responsibilities include IV admixture, assisting the pharmacist with the dispensing of medication, working with technology, and deliveries of medications.
Tuition assistance is available for those who qualify to obtain a pharmacy certification through a regionally accredited program.

Qualifications:- Active National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA).
- Pharmacy Technician (State) (KY) - Must obtain Pharmacy Technician (State) (PHT) credential within 30 days of employment if no prior technician experience. Must obtain Pharmacy Technician (State) (PHT) credential at hire if prior experience as a technician. You can register for the certificate by clicking here: Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.
