Job Title: Senior Procurement Specialist

At Blue Star Partners, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for executing purchasing and supply management strategies, working closely with customers, divisions, and category managers to provide exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support PO conversion and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best deals.
  • Manage PO approvals up to $1,000,000 and ensure timely payment.
  • Educate stakeholders on existing solutions and enable performance and technology tool development.
  • Resolve operational issues and invoice errors in a timely manner.
  • Solve complex problems and provide expert advice in primary areas of expertise.
  • Communicate and educate departments to provide supporting documentation for purchases.
  • Develop and lead purchasing strategies for categories and establish business relationships with diverse suppliers.
  • Meet with divisional customers and lead functions to ensure superior customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • CPM certification desired.
  • 4-6 years of procurement experience, with functional experience and project management skills.
  • Excellent people skills, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in spreadsheet programs.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Finance experience, including financial benchmarking, spend management, savings tracking, or cost breakdowns.
  • Analytical experience, including GAP analytics, regression analytics, outlier analytics, scenario planning, or forward modeling.
  • Supplier experience, including supplier selection, supplier relationship management, capability matrices, or contracting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
