Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in ensuring efficient service of all beverages and bar services
  • Prepare and serve beverages for servers and guests in a quick, efficient, and friendly manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests
  • Ensure that guests are served in accordance with State and local guidelines regarding the service of alcohol
  • Perform proper cash, comp, and check control procedures
  • Take inventory of the bar on a regular basis
  • Provide guests with accurate information about the restaurant and property as needed
  • Work with a sense of urgency to anticipate guest and team member needs
  • Communicate with management and service staff to rectify any and all guest needs and requests
  • Ensure work area is in compliance with the Florida health codes at all times
  • Follow company Inventory Control requirements
  • Pass pour test on a regular basis
  • Keep all stations stocked by polishing and distributing china, glassware, and silverware
  • Responsible for taking guest orders for in-room dining
  • Understand the operational setup and principles of the Restaurant, Hotel Pool/Bungalow, lounge, and bar
  • Maintain knowledge of all menus within the hotel
  • Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all menus within the hotel
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
Additional Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the venue teams
  • Communicate with employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions, and provide accurate information
  • Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy restaurant activity, serving as a role model for team members and other employees
  • Make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
  • Exceptional personality and hospitality-driven attitude
  • Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and have a high level of attention to detail
  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
  • Ability to work independently and partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
  • Ability to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift
  • Ability to observe and respond to various situations while multitasking and handling stressful situations
  • Ability to twist, tow, reach, bend, climb, and carry objects as necessary
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based on business volumes
