Dietary Technician

The Dietary Technician provides critical support to the Food Service department, ensuring the smooth operation of the diet office. This role involves working closely with Dining Service operators to provide exceptional customer service and maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Process patient and guest food orders in the Dining Service computer
- Collect, post, and calculate calorie counts, charting them on weekends
- Cost-out food-to-floor orders and post costs into the computer program
- Process physician lunch orders and keep the nourishment cardex updated
- Complete monthly diet office reports and assist in training new diet techs
- Food Handler Certification required within 30 days
- Knowledge of nutrition and/or modified diets preferred
- Ability to read and understand written instructions, numerical ability, and ability to work with other people
