About the Department

The Department of Ophthalmology at VCU Health is a leading provider of eye care services, offering both primary and tertiary care to patients in the Richmond, VA area.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmologist to join our team as a Resident Physician in Ophthalmology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care and supervision in three outpatient settings, including the Main Campus, V.A. Medical Center, and suburban ASC locations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and supervision in outpatient settings
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with various eye conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in educational programs and research initiatives
Requirements
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
  • ASOPRS Fellowship training
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
  • Ability to work in a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
