Role Summary:
The Logistics Procurement Manager will oversee the daily operations of the logistics procurement division.

This role involves the formulation, execution, and continuous management of operational strategies that align with and support the broader business goals.


Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily operational, functional, and personnel aspects of the logistics procurement department.
- Contribute to the development of logistics purchasing policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
- Conduct internal audits within the department and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with logistics procurement standards.
- Manage the budget and client acquisition for logistics procurement, ensuring expenses remain within established limits through effective cost control measures.
- Communicate logistics procurement objectives to the team and monitor departmental performance against these goals.
- Summarize and escalate issues to management, providing solutions as necessary.
- Analyze reports on market trends and pricing in logistics procurement, presenting findings to management.
- Approve vendor selections and negotiate contracts for logistics procurement initiatives.
- Maintain effective communication with logistics vendors to ensure service quality and standards are upheld.
- Collaborate with other departments to fulfill logistics procurement requirements.
- Continuously enhance logistics procurement processes and strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics procurement.
- Manage relationships with logistics providers and assess their performance based on agreed-upon criteria.
- Oversee the logistics procurement budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
- Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulations in logistics procurement.
- Provide support and mentorship to staff in logistics procurement activities and professional growth.

Experience Required:
Typically requires 8-10 years of relevant work experience.

Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
