Job Title: Import-Export Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Import-Export Logistics Coordinator to join our team at AmeriCold Logistics. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating import and export activities, ensuring seamless transportation of goods, and maintaining compliance with customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate import and export activities, including customs clearance, shipping, and receiving.
  • Track containers in the port system, document vessel delays, and verify per diem in Container History.
  • Coordinate fumigation with USDA and other agencies, communicate daily inspection needs, and provide required documentation.
  • Track cold re-treatment or continuation of cold treatment with USDA and internally, investigate variances, and resolve or report to appropriate individual(s) as necessary.
  • Coordinate inspections with CBP, arrange container deliveries and empty container pick-ups, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare import-export documentation as needed for government agencies, keep detailed logs of fumigation, CBP inspections, and cold treatments, and create container documentation for operations and billing as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
Requirements:
  • Three (3) years warehouse and/or shipping/receiving experience. Import-export experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal and customer service communication skills sufficient to read and interpret financial documents, shipping documents, bills of lading, and other documents.
  • Demonstrated mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in various reporting tools such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint sufficient to create communication documents and basic financial reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems in a fast-paced environment where deadlines and scopes may change regularly while maintaining accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-start with little or no direction preferred.
