Position Overview:
Amerit Fleet Solutions, a prominent provider of fleet maintenance services in the United States, is seeking a qualified Trailer Maintenance Specialist. The primary responsibility of the Trailer Maintenance Specialist is to conduct timely repairs and maintenance on trailers, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
The Specialist must possess a high level of expertise and practical knowledge in working with trailers, tires, and preventive maintenance tasks, including Air Brakes, Wheel Seals, swing doors, and DOT Inspection repairs and certifications.
Compensation Details:
Pay: $20 - $28 per hour based on experience. Competitive hourly compensation - Paid weekly, every Friday.
Work Schedule:
Wednesday - Saturday: 6pm - 6am

Responsibilities of the Trailer Maintenance Specialist:
- Maintain vehicle records and documentation both manually and digitally.
- Execute repairs and preventive maintenance on trailers.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and prepare necessary safety documentation.
- Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Inspect and perform maintenance on the undercarriage of vehicles.
- Access all areas of the equipment or vehicle to carry out essential maintenance tasks.
- Remove or install various components on vehicles.
- Communicate with clients as needed.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience with Class 8 tractor trailers and BIT/DOT Inspections and repairs.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance, tires, and electrical systems.
- Must provide personal hand tools and toolbox.
Required Skills:
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and email.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities (documentation, communication with colleagues, supervisors, etc.).
Working Environment:
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing job duties.
- Exposure to significant amounts of dust, diesel fumes, and noise.
- Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases, or other irritants.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to perform vehicle repairs.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
