Metallurgical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgical Engineer to join our Materials and Corrosion Engineering Practice in Denver, CO.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to conduct hands-on failure analysis, field inspections, laboratory testing, and collaborate with clients to evaluate failure mechanisms and propose integrity management measures.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with specialized knowledge of welding and metallurgical engineering expertise in metallographic and fractographic interpretation, corrosion, fracture mechanics, heat treatment, and microstructural development.
The successful candidate will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work within project teams and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting hands-on failure analysis
- Planning and executing laboratory tests
- Conducting field inspections
- Direct SEM operation, metallurgical analysis, and testing
- Creating written reports and presentations
- Communicating effectively with other engineers, technicians, managers, clients, and administrative staff
We offer a competitive salary range of USD $135,000 to USD $145,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including access to our benefits information page.
