Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced nurse practitioner to provide high-quality patient care in our clinics. As a Per Diem Infusion Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing nursing services to assigned patients, maintaining accurate patient records, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and function as a patient advocate, treating patients and families with respect and dignity.
  • Demonstrate competency in providing patient care and adhere to professional standards and state nurse practice acts.
  • Perform initial patient evaluations/assessments, develop written plans of care, and prepare clinical and progress notes.
  • Coordinate services, inform physicians and other personnel of changes in patient condition and needs, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Ensure documentation meets all standards and policies, including documentation of findings, interventions, and results.
  • Regularly reassess patient condition, nursing needs, and update plans of care.
  • Furnish services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skills, initiate preventive nursing procedures, and collaborate with healthcare teams.
  • Evaluate and reevaluate patient and/or family needs for services, provide health education, counseling, and referrals to other healthcare professionals and community resources when appropriate.
  • Order and/or interpret lab work and diagnostic tests according to patient need and/or plan.
  • Prescribe medications and non-pharmacological therapies based on patient diagnoses, health history, and age.
  • Initiate case conferences, communicate patient plans of care with team members, participate in Performance Improvement and Continuous Quality Improvement programs, and assume responsibility/ownership of clinic location(s).
  • Support and maintain a culture of safety and quality care, stay current with medical advancements, new technology, new drugs through inservices, continuing education classes, society meetings, professional journals, etc.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Holds a current NP state license in the state of practice.
  • At least 4-5 years of advanced practice registered nursing (APRN) experience, ambulatory and infusion nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR). Must have organizational skills to maintain and manage accurate patient care records.
  • Ability to recognize and direct information to the appropriate healthcare provider.
  • Computer skills that include word processing and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
  • Current CPR card, advanced practice certification, current APRN licensure, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automobile insurance.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $80-$120 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Location

This is a travel (float) per diem position with a competitive hourly rate. The clinic hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. If you reside in the Los Angeles metro area and you're seeking a per diem position with flexibility and occasional travel, this could be an ideal opportunity for you.
