Position Overview:
This role involves providing in-person services at educational institutions during regular school hours. The responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and addressing students with various communication disorders, including language, articulation, fluency, and voice issues that hinder academic success.
  • Utilizing contemporary assessment tools to evaluate students' skills in language and communication, and delivering age-appropriate interventions.
  • Collecting and organizing data to develop educationally relevant Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations as well as local policies regarding IEP development, Medicaid billing, and therapy documentation.
  • Presenting evaluation findings at meetings and interpreting assessment results for stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have:

  • A Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • A current Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License for Speech Language Pathology.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience conducting speech and language assessments for students eligible for special education services.
  • A commitment to promoting racial and educational equity and dismantling systemic barriers within the community.
  • A permanent residence in Colorado while serving the school.
  • The capability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without accommodations.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position aligned with the academic calendar.
