Position Summary:

The University of Florida Performing Arts is in search of part-time skilled event security personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by being courteous, professional, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Respond to incidents as per venue training.
  • Prepare and distribute shift instructions, post orders, and relevant documentation as directed by supervisors.
  • Manage the preparation and distribution of security credentials.
  • Maintain daily rosters and shift logs.
  • Conduct safety and security patrols of the facility.
  • Perform facility inspections.
  • Control access to facilities, venues, and events.
  • Oversee door access control including locks, combination keys, and cards.
  • Utilize weapons detection scanning technology for prohibited items.
  • Manage crowd dynamics effectively.
  • Provide escort services for artists.
  • Adhere to instructions and policies as outlined by supervisors.

Qualifications:

Applicants with relevant experience may be considered for advanced roles such as Security Supervisor or Security Coordinator.

Salary:

$14.00 to $20.00 based on experience.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of experience in crowd management and event security.
  • Certification in First-Aid and CPR.
