Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Tower Imaging Valencia LLC is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team.
CompensationThe estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $62,500 - $90,000, depending on experience.
ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a highly motivated individual who can perform MRI exams and x-rays in a safe and productive manner that prioritizes patient safety and information security.
- Ensures that MR machines are turned on and performing QA in the morning upon arrival to work and ensures that machines are in good working order.
- Stocks MR rooms with sufficient supplies for all exams scheduled for that day.
- Discusses procedures with patients and answers any questions patients may have.
- Performs MRI exams in a safe manner in accordance with standard protocol and procedures.
- Manages outpatient/inpatient schedules.
- Prepares work areas and materials as necessary for the completion of exams.
- Demonstrates ability to start IV and maintain access.
- Demonstrates knowledge of contrast limitations and exceptions.
- Consistently uses patient identifiers before performing an exam.
- Maintains utmost confidentiality in handling company and sensitive patient information, documents, and films/CD's.
- Respects patient dignity.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: Completion of ACR-approved school for Radiologic Technology.
- Work Experience: 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience as a MR Technologist.
- Certifications and Licensures: Current ARRT Certificate or ARMRIT certificate (MRI, RT(X-ray)), Current BLS provider card, Venipuncture Certificate.
- Medical: Strong working knowledge of medical terminology and cross-sectional anatomy.
- Equipment: MR and X-Ray equipment.
- Knowledge and Skills: MRI Safety, Knowledge of blood-borne pathogen requirements, Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, Ability to work flexible schedules as needed, Strong organizational skills, Problem-solving skills, Basic computer skills.
This role requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting; occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Hand and finger mobility for use of reaching and manipulating keyboards and other imaging equipment. Occasional lifting of materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
Work EnvironmentYou must demonstrate, observe, and comply with Tower safety, infection prevention, and control policies/procedures and the use of personal protective equipment.
