Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Annual Giving and Fundraising Manager to join our Advancement team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the success of our Leadership Annual Gifts program and the university's overall fundraising efforts. You will be responsible for strategy, execution, and results of qualification, cultivation, and solicitation of individual annual Leadership Giving prospects and donors ($2,500 and above).

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Advancement colleagues on qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies across all levels and modes of giving.
  • Participate in regular team portfolio and gift strategy check-ins/progress updates.
  • Qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects and donors at the leadership annual gift level ($2,500 and higher) for the university's current priorities.
  • Support the work of the Annual Giving team, including Reunion giving, Giving Day, crowdfunds, and other Lawrence Fund and campaign initiatives.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate recording, accounting, acknowledgement, and execution of gifts received by the university.
  • Participate in professional forums, conferences, associations, and platforms as appropriate and share pertinent information, trends, concepts, and technologies learned with other Advancement colleagues.
Working Relationships

You will report to the Director of Annual Giving and work closely with other gift officers and the full Advancement team. Additionally, you will interact with colleagues across the university, particularly all members of the Communications team, the Office of the President, the Office of Finance and Administration, faculty, staff, alumni, trustees, donors, prospects, parents, community members, and friends of the university.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required with at least two years of annual giving fundraising experience with demonstrated results securing annual leadership gifts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of significant issues in higher education-particularly as related to a liberal arts college and conservatory of music setting-preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with philanthropic strategies, tactics, and technologies and a passion for introducing people to the joy of giving.
  • Demonstrated success with portfolio and relationship management, including volunteers.
  • Demonstrated success with qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual gifts.
  • Familiarity with prospect research tools and practices.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive workplace practices that support communities of belonging and demonstrated ability to work with a plurality of constituencies and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
