POSITION OVERVIEW

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated Custodial Worker 1 to fulfill essential cleaning responsibilities. This position is crucial for ensuring the upkeep of facilities and grounds at designated maintenance and roadside rest locations.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Custodial Worker 1 will engage in a variety of routine manual tasks focused on custodial care and landscape maintenance. Key duties include:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing offices, lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other related areas.
  • Managing waste disposal and recycling efforts.
  • Performing landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming hedges, removing leaves, and shoveling snow.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of outdoor spaces and entrances to buildings.
  • Replacing light bulbs and conducting minor repairs on facility equipment, reporting any significant issues to the supervisor.

Work will be carried out according to a structured routine and will be subject to inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.


WORK SCHEDULE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Full-time position.
  • Work hours are from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday, including a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Salary: The starting salary may be non-negotiable in certain instances.
